We had a great Jr. Master Gardener Class last weekend thanks to Alex Lesniak founder of Peace Bees . With the assistance of her Peace Bees team ( mom and dad ) she put on a great class on Honey Bees. It was interactive and a great learning experence. The kids saw real bees , played games , and made edible Play Doh out of honey and peanut butter . Great day check out the Pics

New Office a Day Away From Finish

Its like spring is here already and its only Febuary .We are moving into our new office this week at the Food Bank of Northern Indiana, we are working with the great people at Peace Bees getting ready to put in the first Hives at the LaSalle Square Unity Garden, We have 2 new interns on Board Teddy, and Myles.  Nothing gets me in the mood for gardening more then teaching gardening classes, and talking gardening wih other gardeners. We are doing Adult classes every Sat at 10am and every Thurs at 6pm . Also on Saturday's at 12:30 we are doing our Jr. Master Gardeners Class . So busy may be and understatement . We are about a week away from sarting our indoor plants. The Clay High School Garden Club will be growing some of our plants as a garden club project . We are also starting seeds at Washington High School in their greenhouse. New Unity Gardens are looking to start up every week. Looks like 2012 will be another growing year !!
